Yes, i obviously meant just Scandinavia consisting of 3 countries and nations, i didn't take into account the geographical aspect of it. But thank you for your insight! Finnic is a language branch of the Uralic family. Hence, not Indo–european.

Scandinavian Peninsula is Sweden, Norway, part of northern Finland. Fennoscandia is the Scandinavian Peninsula, the Kola Peninsula, mainland Finland, and Karelia (part of Russia). Baltoscandia is the Nordic countries and Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). The three main language branches in Baltoscandia are Baltic (Latvia, Lithuania), Finnic (Finland, Estonia) and North Germanic (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland).

Season 2 of Vinland Saga starts off at a slow pace, but it's rich with character-development (along with symbolism - the setting), and roller-coaster of emotions. At some point, there's a "Oh, wtf??" moment that catches you a little off-guard, and the pace starts picking up where we can literally feel the tension building up for what's coming.

Norway not being a big part of this show is probably mostly because Denmark was a more politically organised country at the time of these events (after year 1000) and they were more connected to this story in particular. Norwegian vikings were fewer, but more savage and didn't have big armies like Denmark. Archaeological evidence show that they were the ones who used axes in battle for example, and they were great boat builders and sailors.(They discovered iceland.) The Swedish vikings are also barely mentioned here because they were more active in the east, towards Russia and stuff. They're mostly known for trading. Finland had no vikings

Northern Europe is not equal to Scandinavia. The latter consists of Denmark, Sweden and Norway (maybe Iceland too?), Finnish people are a different group – their language is not even Indo-european. A lot of people tend to mix them up so it's all good, I did too for a while that's why i'm saying:))
