Tokyo Revengers manga went hard but then the author/Mangaka kinda went with a really bad ending. Like if promised Neverland season 2 type of bad ending. It seemed to only exist to answer all the questions that were unanswered but had no good dialogue or story underneath it. kinda cheapened everything takemitchy and co had to endure

I love Tokyo Revengers, but it's not even close to AoT lol. It's like comparing McDonald's to Nobu or some shit. Not the best analogy but you get my point. The second season just reinforces that for me. I really wanna love it, but the writing in particular is getting so weak. Without saying any spoilers, they'll literally have Takemitchi say the same shit in a different way 4 times in a row. Or characters will be in an intense situation and over 60 seconds the camera cuts to 5 different people dramatically saying "Mikey..." The dialogue and writing is just getting so weak. Hopefully s3 does better with that

“lmao” glad you thought my opinion was funny. i think your opinion is mediocre at best. ive watched other anime, not just main stream but good try, you totally know me. AOT and FMAB are on par when it comes to story intricacies and twists. as well as overall feeling of the show. assuming you’ve read the AOT manga would make sense if only you didn’t call the story after the timeskip meh. the story after the timeskip…is quite literally THE story of AOT. don’t call my take a ‘normie ass take’ when you’re taste is literally just blood and gore. not my fault you don’t like actual story 🫶🏼

tokyo revengers is a great anime however i disagree that its on par with AOT. the one show i really feel is on par with AOT is FMAB and death note as a close runner up. I do love tokyo revengers and i think you guys would like it as well but its not like AOT at all imo

For some quick (and quite simplified) added context regarding the idea of Askeladd running out of luck and how his men responded; The Norse concept of luck was fairly different from what we see as "luck" in modern times, being an inherent quality of an individual or family/lineage, and part of their personality/being. It's interwoven with their other traits and strengths. Someone with great luck, as Askeladd becomes known to his people during their time together, would potentially be able to affect fate, beat any odds, bend events to their favor. However, luck could also change over time, and someone could entirely lose their luck... at which point nothing they do would succeed, and their bad luck could even have a lasting negative impact on the luck of those associating with them. Thus, Askeladd being the "man of luck" who then lost his inherent luck is now seen as someone who couldn't possibly win or achieve his goals. It's like he's cursed or jinxed.

Without saying too much, if one pays attention to all these little details, the payoff at some of the moments in the future is worth it! Even at the end of episode 13 when they are about to change directions, Bjorn is the one to tell their men to trust Askeladd’s judgment as he is seldom wrong.

S2 greater than S1 depends on what you like on a story, since S2 is very character development oriented and not so much with a big plot (of course it has it but we don't see it until it fully develops in the background) I do like season 2 more, but it's because I love the characters. Also, I think this was in the last ep, can't remember since watch both back to back, but the priest voice actor, at least in japanese, is not the same as Erwin, (the priest VA is actually the same as Rengoku in japanese just FYI) , if there was a comment like it was probably for dub. Man, can't wait for next ep reaction!!! 😳

LFG, we are entering the final 1/3 of the season which is crazy good. I agree with most of your comments at the end of the episode. Thorfinn right now is a pretty one-dimensional character and he is in the backseat while they are focusing on Askeladd and Canute, both arriving a big dramatic turning point in their arcs (Ragnar dying, Askeladd's army losing faith in him), I am hyped for the reactions to what follows. Also, I love the interactions between Bjorn and Askeladd like for example when Askeladd says "March!", Bjorn is the first one to pack up and go without hesitation. They deepened their relationship too. For an end note: Let them cook, pay off is worth it 👌.
