Good voice acting in a language you can understand just hits different. Sub might be more consistent but Dub is too goated overall that most people don't care. There's too many scenes in the dub that gives people chills, it's loved for a reason.

Hohenheim's comment about Ed being just like him when he was his age, is really all you need to know about why he tried to indirectly lead Ed. He knows how stubborn he can be and he knows how to motivate him, even if it pisses Ed off and doesn't get him on Ed's good side.

just a side note, but ed was throwing up because of how the weather was affecting his automail. it’s crazy that even people in real life that had those kinds of injuries feel pain in different weather conditions. excited for the next episode !!
