I had faith in Sakura too when I first watched back in 2017 but they really did not try to do anything with her until towards the end of shippuden. Honestly I don’t really hate her but Im more disappointed in the writers not taken advantage of the potential of some of the characters.

Sakura is actually just a horrible person tho... she makes fun of an orphan for being an orphan, is literally useless and does nothing but cry and beg for help most of the series. Yeah she has some moments later but always relapses. She lies and tries to trick Naruto with her fake love crap. She constantly chased someone who genuinely hated her and tried to kill her several times. She is just an awful character aside from some very specific moments

I think its because they have to literally explain how the naruto verse works, almost every shounen anime does this so they kind of get caught up with explanations and slow paced fights during early eps. Gets significantly better in the next few eps tbh

Imo she does still get cool down the line, but it def takes way longer for her to get her "thing" outside of booksmarts then it does the others + they definitely built up on her potential but even in the future when we know she isss a badass just based off her abilities and the way people talk of them, it so frustrating for her moments to constantly be taken from her just so Kishi can constantly highlight the others more TTTT Naruto side characters (especially the woman) are done dirtyyy a lot of the time imo

Naruto’s catch phrase believe it is a dub only thing. Reason being is the same catch phrase is Dattebayo in Japanese. Dattebayo doesn’t have a meaning really, which is when there’s no extra words added in the subtitles whenever he says it. But it’s still words that need to be dubbed over in English so they added believe it over every Dattebayo to match the words on screen
