foundry room to dump exchange full carts for empty and head back out -> foundry room to dump full carts in exchange for empty ones, and head back out

Ender419

I agree that this very aged barrel of whiskey must have something magical either around or infused on it to preserve & allow for proper aging. While I see your thoughts on pretty decorations for the girls I think them wearing drab armor similar to their father’s is just them showing they are maturing into proper heroes who can now be guards and guards don’t wear pretty things when on patrol. Can’t agree with you more that “stone” means wasted (by an choice of consumed vice) but I think in this case it could be one of the missing or actual statues they came across like the one in the fountain where the barrels originally existed.

Simon Hoerder

So the finder is now petram. But what is petram? A pet ram? Would be painful. But I suspect that I’ve missed something. (And please don’t start “the finder is petram”. That circular answer is quite obvious, even to me.)

Cymi

Sooo Junior engineer Shiftstick is going to be heir? That will upset his pompous cousin! but also allow both the engineers and ratlin to have a good legal foundation for claiming the space as a joint venture

Felix H.

Why do I have the feeling this might be a sister-city to Gadobhra? Let's hope they find a similar capable manager as Baron William...

Findell

So this is another of the Wheel of Eight? I wonder if this is one of the corrupted ones.

A few separate thoughts on the chapter. First, I wonder how much whiskey would still remain in a barrel that old? The angel's share must be quite significant. I have decided for my own personal retcon of the story that the barrel has dwarven runes on it to do something magical that allows it to age but not lose much if any water from the barrel. I'd explain the process further, but it's magic so I can't it just works so moving right along and don't think too hard about it, lol. Next up! I am slightly dismayed that Rosie and Buttercup didn't have any pretty ribbons or decorations tied on or painted onto their armor. That's not very Rosie or Buttercup like, idk how he got them to wear the armor without some cute ornamentation! They're very girly...um, er, violent behemoths. Final thought: "a figure made of stone entered the room" Stoned is an old term for drunk, so it's fitting that a whateveritis from an old dwarven city is made of stone. Thanks for the chapter! I love it as I always do.

Tank oo fur da chap!

The El Bandito

Two chapters in a row mention a splash from below the chasm. I’m curious if that connects to the ocean somewhere. Then that can bring the scavenger clans into the new city with Milo’s lock / canal idea.

The El Bandito

I had a feeling we’d be seeing this guy pop up with some ridiculous demands for his city. I based this feeling on the previous knowledge of statues that hang out in empty cities by water fountains from other Walrus stories. Milo does have his outstanding agreement with Hecate that may force him to checking out N’Fargleville (where king under the mountain now lives). But I don’t know if Milo knows the Starspawn = The corruption.

Dudedorey

ooh interesting, the system will probably come into play when the city is claimed, even if Milo isn't the heir. a midway-point between the two allies will also probably help the two connect and trade more.

RedInkQuill

Thanks for the chapter. They founditbydamn
