Looks like Donny had earned the ire of Crow, or at least one of Crow's underlings. Insulting the bird with six glowing red eyes does not sound like a smart idea, especially when someone with a more or less direct line to the Eidolons is already moving against them (not that he knows that).

Who knows I write these things and then immediately shake my brain to erase it like an etch a sketch

Decks are basically laptops, though they’re the main method for Netrunners to boost their own capabilities through an external source. Terminals are basically PCs, and data slates are tablets. The different names just give a different feel to the world. I’ll get more into the Netrunner gear in the future once I introduce a particular character. Should be after the Circle arc concludes. I was also thinking about that while writing it, but the guards outside of the Adepts are basically common rabble with low capabilities. Basically just muscles. Add in the darkness, the lack of any sound cue, and the camouflage of the drone. While not active, the drone is camouflaged. I figured it wasn’t too insane for her to get the drone past. It’s not her realizing what’s going on as much of a comment about how stupid it was he has great luck and she doesn’t. The Inquisitor’s ability is in part responsible for no one realizing what’s going on. It’s also considered luck for no one to realize what’s going on. Yeah, very assassin mindset. She has a strong distaste for Scavs, human sacrificing cultists, and Savants. Add in corporate executives into that list too. Yes, once a Dryad become corrupted, its no longer considered a Dryad. I’ll get a bit more in depth for the whole corruption mechanic in the near future. They knew the circle was involved with the gang, but seeing everything was hard confirmation that the Circle was responsible for the kidnapping. Might reword that part to say something like. “So these *are* the kidnappers, huh?” I think I got everything?

"watching the video feed on my deck the entire time. The rest of the group piled in behind me to get a better look at what we were dealing with."->oh so decks are just like, a tablet people use to interface with technology? I've been kinda assuming they were the thing that let's people interact with VR future tech stuff, not just something with physical controls and a screen. That's just other cyberpunk tropes bleeding through tho, my bad. "About half of them watched the entrance we were on, all of which were the chrome ones." ->you mention after this that she uses shadows and rubble for cover flying back out, but my first thought reading this was "damn these guys are real incompetent, if they can't see a drone fly through the entrance they're watching". "I guess if the Inquisitor were here, he'd probably find such a paper..."->is this...is this her first reference to the Drunquisitor having luck magic? Thought that'd be a bigger reveal, not happen off screen and already be internalized. "I could go in and try to eliminate a few of them by myself…" ->wow, super assassin-y mindset from Shiro "Corrupted Dryads were hard to come by these days. The Dryads had all but been wiped out under Mother’s orders" ->ok, the dryads were wiped out because Mother over "hunted" them, because once they turn into Corrupted Dryads they're no longer Dryads? Bad Mother. This is probably because she's not used to being a team player, despite how effective she is, but I think she woulda mentioned "hey the gang leader had a Circle necklace" by now. The "are these our kidnappers?" question made me think about it, she's not spreading her intel around, despite otherwise being pretty vocal about what to do/her capabilities. Wow, so many nitpicks for one chapter, boy are my thumbs tired. Sorry about that, thanks for the chappie.
