Scholar of Endless Knowledge

Call the inquisitor! lol drunk to the rescue

SecondBlahm

She has their talisman too. Maybe they finaly realised it and it can be traced.

Psyren G

That "mosquito" that stung her on the second ritual site was probably some kind of tracking bug.

Gardor

Alrighty, sorry for nit picking. Feel like ya might wanna include some moments when she's driving through the city and getting the tingles. They'd be pointless, but I feel like it'd lessen the "plot convenience" vibes in other scenes, if it happens when it's not just immediately useful information for her. Or maybe I'm just scrambling and trying to validate my whining, either or.

Lost Rain

It’s not super super rare, but it’s rare enough that the people who can use magic, Adpets and Magic, are a tiny fraction of the total population. The vast majority of people are just mundane humans.

Gardor

Is magic that rare? Shouldn't insight be constantly tingling?

Lost Rain

Yes. The fluctuations of the Aether trigger Insight

Gardor

Oh she just feels spells in her general area (or, her building i guess), whether or not she'd be impacted by them?

Immutably Empty

Yeah it was briefly mentioned that the prison break didn't happen without inside help, so they clearly have people inside the crusade.

lenkite

Probably tailed her or tracked her from the Crusade. They have spies there. Alternatively, the [Divine Weed Mother] can track her via her interface. Which would be bad, because then her speakeasy isn't safe either.

Dominic French

Damn how did they find her?

Lost Rain

The spell wasn’t a tracking one. I’m going to rewrite that bit to make it clearer. She was just feeling that a spell wasn’t cast without knowing what it was.

Gardor

"He didn’t react to my beautiful smile in the slightest" -> I think this is the first time she's acknowledged she's pretty, sort of a switch tbh. I'm glad she's not pulling the "oblivious mc" archetype, tho. "right, I was too young. In a couple years when I turn eighteen, it’d be no problem." -> this is an oddly high minded ideal for cyberpunk, which are often depicted as lawless capitalist hell scapes. Who would even be in charge of IDs for a former junkyard vagrant? After the guy raised the wand and she felt her spider senses tingle, isn't that pretty solid confirmation they're there for her? They've got a tracking-ish spell on her? Tftc.

Kade

What a good cliff!!! Tftc
