Red Armadillo

The heat hint is probably tracking the movement of divinity to locate the Ravener since its moving to the body and throne

JacksAreWild

I’m so glad he’s going to have another encounter with Professor ram. Feels like after their duel. It’ll be a good way to kind of close out their interaction.

Imagine Baggins

Does Thameland even have a permanent capital? Feels like in a place where calamity strikes every century, you'd want your leadership to be on the move.

Robyn Davis

I am just wondering if heat being a type of energy will suggest to Alex a way to transform the Ravener rather than destroy it

I disagree, the speed of which he casted it and how many he casted in a short time shows he truly is a monster. Especially when he barely learned the spells

lenkite

“It's celebration time, after all. Then, tomorrow you can show us what a monster you've become.” T3 Fireball Demo just doesn't quite cut it for "what a monster you have become".

George R

amazing chapter love this part

matthew gilley

you, the audience, have seen what he can do. even have a list of the spells he stole to learn. this was a heartwarming moment where he was encouraging his little sister, not trying to crush her spirit with unrealistic expectations.

matthew gilley

na, he's going to go back to hell using his sister as a heat shield lol

Thin Caulk

Alex is going to pull all the heat from the ravener deep in the earth and leave it frozen for eternity. The only way to stop it from coming back.

lenkite

After 2 chapters of build-up and everyone coming to the practice grounds to see what he could do, it was a let down.

Joseph Thibodeau

I'll bet the main body also locates itself under/near the greatest concentration of people who are afraid too, so probably directly under the capital in most cycles.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Bob Bryan

He was showing his sister a higher level spell. He wasn't trying to be impressive.

lenkite

Only flexed a T3 spell as an [Arch Wizard] in the practice grounds ? Un-impressive.

Vin

I'd love to see more of Selina's journey too. She seems to be in the makings of an incredible wizard and if Theresa taught her how to really use a sword, she'd be a monster in her own right. Could be really cool for a future series or short story.

Cj Evans

I don't think it's possible to track any emotion. It's not like they have to find Thameland's Daegobah. Or maybe it is? But I bet it would be more accurate and "magically scientific" to use the dungeon cores to locate the Ravener. As the source of dungeon cores, there'd be a relation in terms of energy signature/ material, and possibly read as a spot where a collection of cores are?

Gareth S

Oh for sure - travis adds a lot of polish.

Cj Evans

I think this is where it becomes useful for the audio book. Listening to the them helps with the pacing: reading it can sound/ seem clunky especially jumping between the different character cadences. Needless to say- can't wait until this book is done and out on audiobook!

Trevor Mergen

Thanks

Code Reed

The ravener absorbs fear right? Is there a way to search for large concentrations of a particular emotion? These little hints when she talks about moving heat are reminding me of heat maps in games. If it's possible to track emotion, it should be relatively simple to find the ravener.

Itsigu

Tftc!

Imagine Baggins

It's something to do with fear, isn't it? A relationship between faith and fear, like the one between heat and cold.

Gareth S

Mmm I like the demonstration bits and could do with some more of that. The conversation/ banter in the last few chapters is still super clunky, awkward and just reads weirdly
